CDI as core spec - building block for other specs
- CDI team has their own goals
- Plus, two people from Quarkus/RH mostly active
- Faces abandoned its own bean model in favour of CDI
- But, CDI team doesn’t always understand the need Faces has
- How to solve this without unreasonable demands on CDI team?
- Jakarta REST is also wanting to be CDI centric
- They achieved progress by interacting directly with the CDI team.
- Emily stated that the CDI team does seem open to changes to support other specs wanting to be CDI centric.
