CDI as core spec - building block for other specs

• CDI team has their own goals
  • Plus, two people from Quarkus/RH mostly active
• Faces abandoned its own bean model in favour of CDI
  • But, CDI team doesn’t always understand the need Faces has
  • How to solve this without unreasonable demands on CDI team?
• Jakarta REST is also wanting to be CDI centric
  • They achieved progress by interacting directly with the CDI team.
  • Emily stated that the CDI team does seem open to changes to support other specs wanting to be CDI centric.

Remove/update Platform TCK tests that use jakarta.annotation.ManagedBean

• https://github.com/jakartaee/platform-tck/issues/1184 such that the Platform TCK no longer references jakarta.annotation.ManagedBean
