• Thanks to James Perkins for agreeing to take over Ed’s role as secondary release co-coordinator for EE 12. Regarding Jakarta EE, I will focus on doing the best job I can to fill Reza’s remaining term on the Steering Committee.

  • James to have committer election for Platform Project.
• OSSRH status update.
  • Krazo actions done.
  • Release working. Staging is still having issues.
    • Working with IT ticket. May need to upgrade nexus
    • Right now it is requiring every community to have a login which doesn’t work for us
    • Also exploring additional APIs that they have provided
  • Confirm that -SNAPSHOTs are never published to central
  • Ivar has created a PR for ee4j parent with the new plugin

  • MicroProfile also struggling to get this working
    • Reran job and MP job is working now
    • Will be discussed at the MP call tonight
  • Jakarta Data is looking at doing a 1.0 service release of API and TCK and is blocked on this problem

Jakarta EE 11 Retrospective

• ACTION: Ed to mine Retrospective - Jakarta EE 11 for actionable work to move to platform-1109.

Jakarta EE 12

• MicroProfile move to Jakarta is now in jeopardy due to recent discussions at the Jakarta Specification Committee.
  • Straw poll for moving assets to Jakarta. Two parties didn’t vote yet – Primeton and IBM. 4 members voted against it.
  • Next consideration is to just move MP Config to Jakarta as a starting point
  • Will be discussed in the MP community in coming weeks
  • Namespace discussions still are sticking points (spec committee ballot hurt this discussion)
  • Loss of control and influence of the MP specs has also been a concern (recent Jakarta working group session was helpful for this concern)
• EE 12 milestone schedule with dates for each milestone end
  • With goals for each milestone
  • Wave schedule also with some specs in EE 12 that were not updated in EE 11
