Jakarta EE 12
- M5 week 1 of 6 starts this week (M5 ends June 30)
- Looking to update the Jakarta API snapshot CI job to have the new version and work with the new parent POM and run nightly
- Jakarta Config termination review process was requested in lieu of a progress review and that has created a slew of conversations in the mailing list
- Why now?
- Spec committee saw no progress in 2 years.
- Spec committee poked the community to do a progress review.
- Since no response, that triggered termination process
- Still the options remain
- MP Config comes over
- Jakarta Config in current form that is compatible with MP config goes as it is
- Could just have MP config’s ConfigSource added in a MP environment
- Jan’s presentation at Futures Directions call: presentation, transcript and recording
- Jan may present next week with some updates at next week’s meeting
- Jakarta NoSQL (if Otavio or other rep from project joins)
- Core Profile progress
- CDI
- JSON-B
- Kyle’s committership ballot was approved
- Started working on CI job updates
- Aiming to have a milestone release this week
